Earlier this year Tadcaster and Rural CIC – your local community regeneration company – were asked by the Community Engagement Forum to investigate how a celebration of the re-opening of the Bridge could be organised.
So, we have been working hard to come up an event that would do our town proud and really help us celebrate this momentous occasion!! Please come back regularly to see what’s being planned or follow us on Facebook. We are determined to put on a day to remember – with something for everyone – a chance to have a great time and to look forward to a prosperous 2017. Our objectives for the event can be downloaded here and an itinery of the day can be downloaded here.
Commonly Asked Questions!
1. Who is involved in the planning of this?
Tadcaster and Rural CIC were asked to lead the organisation. We have put together a Project Team comprised of the following people:
David Gluck, Chair
Supporting the Project Team are Susie Brindley of Willow Business Support who are helping Selby District Council prepare for the Tour de Yorkshire, which is also coming to town in 2017 of course; and David Edmunds of Depart Ltd who is acting as our artistic/creative advisor.
Thanks especially to Tadcaster Town Council for their amazing support in the organisation of the day.
